OPENING JUNE 2018
Our hiking path leads from our vineyards all the way to the peak of the Seven Sisters (1 350 m). The path is marked, bush-cleared and secured.
You’ll experience a variety of terrains and vegetation, walking under canopies of indigenous trees, through the musty scent of pine plantations, taking in the rich diversity of fynbos, and traversing streams and rocks.
If you’d like to go the full way, you’d need to be in average physical condition, be sure-footed and have enough physical endurance for up to eight hours of hiking on a day trip.
More of a challenge, our new Klettersteig (fixed-rope route) leads up a north face climb of 480 m, at an average gradient of 50% and maximum gradient of 87% to the summit of the Seven Sisters. It is accessed from our hiking path. It should take you about two hours to complete. The breath-taking top-of-the-world view from up there, stretching from Cape Point to beyond Piketberg, is your well-earned reward!
